I always looking forward to parents teacher day because I would love to
1. meet up with his teacher to find out how is he doing in school,
2. meet up his friends - to see who they are and how they play with each other,
3. see his classroom - whether his work is being displayed or not.
We reached the school around 11am and we were the last few parents there. So, we did not manage to meet many of his friends, only a few. It was nice seeing them communicating with each other, playing with each other.
Highlight of the session....what the teacher said about him..
He is a very friendly boy. He is the "BOSS" in the class (We were shocked hearing that!!) Boss? Why? Because he is always the latest who come in the class and he will walk slowly to the classroom, looking cool. The teacher then started calling him "boss" (well, honestly I don't think the teacher should do that but everyone thinks it is funny.)
As for Darren, he doesn't mind and in fact, he feels "proud" of it. No wonder he never feel embarrassed every time I tell him if he wakes up late, he will go to school late and everyone will look at him differently.
One day, the teacher asked him why is he always late? He answered, "Yeah...boss like that one. My daddy is also boss." We were shocked by the answer because where did he get the idea of boss is always late? Well, to clear my hubby's name, he doesn't go to work late. In fact, most days he leaves at 6.45am to gym before heading to work. Anyway, the teacher said sometimes when he is late, he will even ask his friends,
"Have you taken your breakfast (morning tea break)? I've taken mine at home."
The teacher said he is very matured when come to thinking and talking. Well, maybe he imitates us when we talked.
He has one problem though. He cannot sit still in the class. He will walk around and touch this and that sometimes when the lesson is on. However, he never disturb other children. Even though he seems like not paying attention, he is absorbing what the teacher taught. Meaning, his ear is listening although he seems looking somewhere.
He loves to participate in all the activities the teacher conducted. He always sit in front and near the teacher. He loves talking and chit chatting with friends and teacher. Sometimes he talks too much..hahaha....
Overall, he is a very nice and friendly boy.
