She called our regular gang of relatives and my grandparents. She informed them it was a surprise party, hence do not leak out anything news and if daddy ever called them for dinner, they had to pretend not free on that night. So, we were getting more excited and mommy was busy planning for the food menu on that night - it was a steamboat dinner. I was busy making birthday card for daddy and practising my "performance" for that day.
Yes, mommy prepared me for a performance for daddy's birthday since a month ago. She changed the lyrics of "I am a little teapot" to "You are my daddy" and get me to practise it everyday, so that I can remember the new lyrics. The performance includes 2 songs "You are my daddy" and "I love you" (Barney) and a simple speech. It ended with a big big hug and kiss to daddy and wished him a Happy Birthday.
So, it was an excited and busy for us. On the day itself, mommy went to market early morning to get some stuff. Then came home and asked daddy did he has any plans and daddy said No. So, mommy said she will plan for him. But daddy changed some of the plans by going to "urut" his hand in the mid-morning and we only went out around 1pm.
The plan was we went out without kakak and kakak will prepare the party at home. And we have to go home to fetch my grandparents for dinner and daddy will get the surprise by then. We went for h-tea in One World hotel and it was a peaceful and nice meal for us. Even Isabel has her share of banana cake and I love my selection of food too. Daddy, Isabel and myself even fell asleep in the restaurant towards the end and mommy get to enjoy her food slowly on her own. We left the place around 4.30pm.
We then proceeded to One U for shopping. Daddy brought me to Camp 5 and wanted me to try rock climbing. But the slot was full on that time and we have to wait till 6pm, which was a bit late. So I just played at the play area.
Later, we went for shopping for daddy's present. Mommy bought daddy a pair of new shoe. It was around 7pm by then and we have to go home. Daddy initial plan was to call Uncle Edwin to get him to fetch my grandparents and meet them at the restaurant. Mommy then quickly sms and called grandma and came out with stories that Uncle Edwin was not free and not joing us, hence daddy get to go back and fetch them. By then, daddy already get all his clues that there were something going on at home. He already suspected and knew it but he tried to play along. It was not easy for mommy to continue acting as she also knew that daddy already discovered the "secret". hahaha...it was fun...
Anyway, we went home and as expected, daddy wasn't too surprise as he already guessed it right. But he was happy and appreciated mommy's thought. He actually only realised it in the afternoon. Another hint to him was mommy was frequently on the phone on that day..
Anyway, we had a great night and I was busy playing with my cousins until I refuse to do the performance earlier on. Mommy wasn't happy but at the end I performed to daddy and grandma after everyone left but before the day ended. Daddy was surprised about the performance though.
We ended the day with happy and good memories + mommy's aching body because mommy has been running up and down preparing things and also helped the clearing and washing up later that night.

Sounds like a great fun day.But rather kan cheong too. Now, darren daddy has pressure to make Mummy darren;'s birthday as memorable too!
Rest assured that was a memorable day for your daddy. Kudos to your mommy who planned from A-Z.
